Chocolate pomegranate clusters are not only a delicious treat, they are also incredibly easy to make. The tart taste of the pomegranate arils combine deliciously with just about any chocolate you choose. Follow these basic instructions to make this delicious treat.

Ingredients for Chocolate Pomegranate Clusters

You will need two basic ingredients to make chocolate pomegranate clusters.

• 1 pomegranate, seeded
• 1 cup chocolate

You can make your clusters more elaborate by adding seeds or nuts of your choice to the recipe.

How to Remove Pomegranate Arils

Pomegranates can be messy and tricky to work with, but there are tricks to make the process much easier. Start by opening your pomegranate. Avoid cutting through the whole fruit and instead cut only through the skin of the pomegranate. Use a knife to make four equal section around the fruit and then gently pull them apart. Once you have your four pomegranate parts, submerge them in a bowl of water for a few minutes. Next, use your fingers to gently loosen the arils. The arils will sink to the bottom and the white skin will float, making the removal process much easier. Remove the skin from the bowl and drain the arils. Place the arils aside until they are completely dry.

How to Prepare Pomegranate Clusters

Once your arils are dry, you can start making your clusters. Start by preparing a mini muffin pan with liners. Next, grab your chocolate and melt it sufficiently. You can either use a piping bag or a zip top bag with the corner snipped off for the chocolate. Use your piping bag to drizzle chocolate into the bottom of a muffin liner and then sprinkle on some pomegranate arils. Add another layer of chocolate and another layer of arils. Repeat 4 times or as desired. Once you are satisfied with your clusters, let them cool and harden completely before serving.
